Covid-19 : we are here for you
In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, we want to assure you that Shell Service Stations in Uganda remain open to serve our customers to help keep necessary journeys on the road and communities supplied with the necessary essentials.
As COVID-19 continues to impact lives, we are putting the safety and wellbeing of our frontline teams and our customers first, as that is of utmost importance to us. We are working closely with our Retailers to ensure they implement government guidelines as stipulated by the Ministry of Health, including more frequent and intensive cleaning of high public contact areas like counters, fuel pumps and payment keypads.
We are also ensuring our service stations continue to uphold thorough hand washing and social distancing guidelines, and we equally advise customers to not only follow the guidelines but also opt for cashless and / or contactless payments at Shell forecourts and respective Shell shops, such as Shell Fleet Cards, Shell EasyGo Cards, Visa Cards, Mobile Money and any other related cashless means that may be available at our sites.
As the advice from the government changes, we will continue to adapt and adjust accordingly in order to protect the wellbeing of the frontline team and our customers. In the meantime, please stay safe.

Why aren’t you enforcing/encouraging the use of gloves when using pumps?
Where possible, we provide gloves to help staff stay clean whilst using the pumps. However, it is advised that wearing these gloves does not help prevent the spread of the virus and we all need to make sure that we are diligent with hand washing. In light of this, the forecourts and toilets at our stations are open for staff and customers’ use and are stocked with soap and water for frequent hand washing. We encourage everyone to follow government guidance by washing hands thoroughly and maintaining social distancing.
